Building the stack together

No single organization can build the infrastructure for voluntary political community. We're looking for partners who share the vision — and who have pieces we need, or need pieces we have.

Five layers, many builders

The Voluntary Polity Stack requires identity, commitment, reputation, coordination, and mutual recognition — each layer building on the layers below.

Osmio provides Layer 1: verified identity. But the full stack requires partners at every layer. We're looking for organizations building complementary infrastructure who want to create something larger than any of us could build alone.

The goal isn't vendor lock-in. It's interoperability. An ecosystem where your identity, your commitments, your reputation, and your participation in governance can move with you.

5 Recognition Mutual acceptance
4 Coordination Governance & deliberation
3 Reputation Track record emergence
2 Commitment Epistemic authenticity

How we work with partners

Technical Integration

Build on Osmio credentials or let us build on your infrastructure. Shared protocols, interoperable standards.

  • API access and integration support
  • Joint protocol development
  • Shared technical documentation
  • Co-development of standards

Recognition Network

Accept Osmio credentials for your services. Join the coalition that gives credentials real-world utility.

  • Verified user onboarding
  • Sybil-resistant access control
  • Cross-platform reputation
  • Network effect amplification

Funding Partnership

Invest in infrastructure that enables cooperation at scale. Foundation grants, impact investment, institutional backing.

  • Direct infrastructure funding
  • Credential access sponsorship
  • Research collaboration
  • Strategic advisory role

Who we want to build with

These are organizations whose work aligns with ours — building different pieces of the same larger vision. Some we've talked to. Some we haven't yet. All of them are doing work that would be more powerful combined.

OriginTrail Knowledge Layer

Decentralized Knowledge Graph for verifiable, AI-ready knowledge assets. Combines blockchain trust with semantic knowledge representation.

Synergy: Osmio credentials + OriginTrail knowledge assets = verifiable claims from verified humans. The epistemic authenticity layer built on provable foundations.
The Society Library Deliberation

Civilization-scale debate mapping. Extracts arguments, claims, and evidence from all points of view to enable collective inquiry into complex issues.

Synergy: Debate maps populated by verified participants. Argumentation with accountability. The coordination layer where identity meets deliberation.
BrightID Sybil Resistance

Decentralized proof of uniqueness through social graph analysis. No personal data required — uniqueness proven through human connections.

Synergy: Complementary approaches to the same problem. BrightID's social graph + Osmio's PKI credentials = defense in depth against Sybil attacks.
OpenID Foundation Standards

The organization behind OpenID Connect and emerging decentralized identity standards. Setting the protocols the industry builds on.

Synergy: Osmio credentials that speak standard protocols. Interoperability with the broader identity ecosystem. Not reinventing wheels.
Humanitarian Tech Field Partners

Organizations already serving populations with identity gaps: UNHCR partners, refugee employment platforms, humanitarian NGOs with ground presence.

Synergy: They have the trust and access. We have the credentials. Together: identity infrastructure that reaches the people who need it most.
Remote Work Platforms Recognition

Deel, Remote.com, Oyster, and others solving cross-border employment. Already wrestling with identity verification across jurisdictions.

Synergy: They need verified humans. We provide verified humans. Osmio credentials as portable proof for the global workforce.

For foundations and investors

Why This Matters

Identity infrastructure is a precondition for human coordination. Without it, cooperation at scale remains captured by nation-states or platform monopolies.

The populations we serve — refugees, the stateless, dissidents — are the canary in the coal mine. Their identity infrastructure has already failed. What we build for them becomes the blueprint for everyone.

Investment Thesis

This is infrastructure, not an app. The value accrues to the network, not to any single entity. We're building a public good with sustainable economics.

  • 20+ year track record (from ITU World e-Trust)
  • UN system lineage and recognition
  • Working infrastructure, not vaporware
  • Clear path to network effects
  • Aligned with decentralization and human agency

Foundation Alignment

For foundations focused on democracy, human rights, refugee support, or digital infrastructure:

  • Direct impact on displaced populations
  • Infrastructure that compounds over time
  • Open protocols, not proprietary capture
  • Governance accountable to the network
  • Research and publication opportunities

What We're Seeking

Partners who understand that building cooperation infrastructure is a long game, not a quick exit.

  • Multi-year funding commitments
  • Strategic guidance, not just capital
  • Connections to recognition network partners
  • Patience for infrastructure-scale impact
  • Alignment on values and governance

Let's build together

If you're working on complementary infrastructure, or interested in supporting what we're building, we'd like to talk.
